Remote Lessons For Home
If WCPSS calls for remote learning days, or you are out sick or injured, follow these links and select an independent art lesson to do. The expectation is that you will complete a 1 hour to 90 minutes of work at home and return with the assignment when we return to school. I have taught art for over 30 years. I can tell if something took you 3 hours or 30 minutes. Do your best with the supplies you have available, even if it's just a pencil and the back of another piece of copy paper.

#6. Abstract Family Portrait
This video will conclude with your assignment. When that is complete, you will create an abstract representation of your family using just colors and shapes. If you like Japanese Anime art, this is your time to shine! There are many ways you can go with this idea, from serious to silly and everywhere in between. Try a sketch first, before you go to final paper. The video here will outline all the expectations for a complete project with some examples from previous student work. Create a birthday card for a famous artist: Create a cover image based on the style of art that the artist is known for. Inside have a birthday greeting that incorporates 3 or more important facts about the artist in a natural and conversational way. Create a logo or company name for the back of the card.
